RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

INTRODUCTION

System analysis is the process of collecting and gathering of information about the current system, recognizing its strength and problems, and analyzing it to produce a concept for the new system like web based entrance examination system.

The aim of this analysis phase is to truly understand the requirement for this new system and develop a system concept that addresses it.

OVERVIEW OF THE EXISTING METHODOLOGY

The whole process of taking the entrance examination and evaluating the student’s scores after the examination is done manually and processing the examination paper also. That is, checking and distributing respective scores used to take time in this manual process

OVERVIEW OF THE PROPOSED METHODOLOGY

The proposed system will be a web based application which will be able to accept student entrance examination registration and it also provide an interface where the students can take exams. This project front-end will be implemented with php, html and JavaScript and MySql will be used for the databased design.

ANALYSIS OF THE NEW SYSTEM

This project is prepared with web pages; these web pages consist of labels and text fields as well as buttons. The labels were used to put on sight information about corresponding text boxes and the buttons was used to set in motion the running of specified instruction.

Any system not carefully and thoroughly analyzed and designed, in a process of time such system or systems are liable to crash and may lead to a huge problem in an organization.

SYSTEM DESIGN

This is the time of development where the process of defining architectures, component, modules, interfaces and data for system to indicate a specified requirement. This stage is also a stage that can only be done after all necessary feasibility studies has been done in view of the proposed system.

The existing manual system was examined, important information and data necessary for the proposed new system were extracted and recorded. Questions were asked where necessary and adequate answers were provided. The challenges of the old system were identified and noted. The procedure of carrying out daily activities also noted.
